Dine Out #1: Abode Restaurant

When you’re both a poor University student and a foodie, the best event for those living in Vancouver, is Dine Out, which, let me emphasize again, is the greatest food event, ever.

It gives people, (AKA, us, students) the chance to try places that would normally put us in more debt (•́︿•̀), at reasonable prices.

And for it’s 15th year, Dine Out Vancouver is back!

17 days only, people. Try it while you can!

Process Post #2: Personal Cyberinfrastructure

If you take a look at the design and setting of my blog, I would say, the very first you may notice, it’s very pink, girly and cutesy-like.  (♡ ὅ ◡ ὅ )ʃ

Am I surprised in why I designed my blog this way? No, not really. How I set everything up, basically reflects who I am and what I like. So don’t be surprised if this blog is filled with color, emojis, and cute gifs.

I previously had a blog before taking this course, and the entirety of the design, was very pink and the posts, the things that I blogged about, etc., had a degree of “cuteness” to it, which I would also put more focus on things that would be considered girly.

Process Post #1: Vision Board

A vision board, is a tool that helps an individual put their thoughts, ideas and interests into one area. It’s helpful in allowing an individual to maintain focus on a goal they want out of life. Hello Everyone ♥

Welcome to  my very first WordPress blog post

My name is Courtney, and I’m a student from Simon Fraser University, studying Health Sciences and Gerontology.

This is my very first time taking a publishing course, and I’m very excited about it, as I believe it’s a course that takes on more of a “hands-on” approach, then just some of the typical academic studies, where you just read the textbook.

In recent months, I have found myself being interested in the world of publishing, and wished that I took it upon myself to actually take the initiative to do something that I have an interest in it.

So, I thought to myself, it’s 2017, it should be a year to d do what I want to do and things that are new to me.

Thanks for reading.
